Fokker Dr.I - Three Wings, One Legend By Achim Engels - German text only
This will become No.6 in our series called "DEUTSCHE FLUGZEUGTECHNIK 1900-1920". This book is the 2nd edition of Achim Engels` book on this aircraft. Although this book is completely available in German language only, we have already started working on an English edition as well. However, the German edition will be the first to be completed soon. While the upcomming English edition will also cover tons of 3D graphics and even animated models showing the details of the triplane in motion, this German edition will not have these add ons. The German edition will be limited to a broad collection of historic photographs never-before-released historic documents along with many technical line drawings which have been developed by the Fokker-Team-Schorndorf during their more than ten years lasting research which can still not be considered as having found a conclusion. The herewith anounced upcoming German edition alone could be considered to become the final deed on the Fokker Dr.I triplane, if we would not plan to release the much more comprehensive English edition at a later time. The final size of the German edition is not yet finaly figgured out, but with the load of material that will be included it might not become smaller than 500 pages. Although done with a main focus on the technical features of this plane, the historical facts will not be overlooked and will for sure round the picture the book draws.
